REVIEWS & COMMENTS
mrroboto22 I was at the Islington show. Got a souvenir of shrapnel from the explosion. Best show ever!!!!!
778wonkaman I have to make a correction. The blue girl actually said "Can it you nit!" not "Can it you twit" Numan got
it wrong on Veruca.
Reply: If you are referring to Numan's quote, you have to remember that he undoubtedtly saw the
European release of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, which was more of a PG-13 rating than the
PG American version. In fact, in the European version, Violet (the blue girl), during her TV interview said
"Cram it, Mother" - not the toned down "Cool it, Mother" of the American Version. You don't even want to
know what Wonka spewed during his "You Get Nothing" rant on the European version. So Numan was just
quoting the European version. So there! There is nothing that Gary Numan could ever do wrong!
Lucyinthesky88 I love the Loompa Tour. And I love Oompa Loompas. Is there a connection here, or is that just a
coincidence?"
trombonemalone I think Gary Numan uses backing tracks in his concerts. There is no way he could sing and drive that
Wonkamobile simultaneously--especially during the chorus where the whole thing looked like a giant paint mixer.
You're telling me he could keep his voice in perfect tune shaking like that? I don't think so!
jacknap2000 What did Numan say on that clip after the Wonkamonster exploded? I can't make it out.
Reply: Trying to shrug off a terrible tour ending incident, Numan muttered: "Well, that was a bugger"
Freddowninthepark Doesn't Numan have any friends who could have told him to ax the Loompa idea? What was he
thinking? Even my Grandma could tell the man has bats in his belfry.
Reply: Please keep your comments positive and refrain from using the word "bats" Gary doesn't like it.
ovaltine22 Something tells me that the Loompa Tour never happened. This is all a government conspiracy
designed to discredit one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century: Neil Diamond. How
Gary Numan got involved is beyond me.
jokeinabox455 What do you call an alligator who likes to make trouble? An instigator. Hey, does anyone here have
any info on the Instigator Tour of 1996? I heard that Numan rode a live alligator on stage.
gobstop1999 Hey Ovaltine, just a government conspiracy huh? Well, that just shows you how much you know.
Neil Diamond never existed! He's just a figment. Gary Numan was in concert to promote the Loompa
album, He wore an Oompa Loompa wig, drove a creampuffmobile off the stage, and a giant Wonkamonster
exploded. You can't make that stuff up!
Hamhose66 I want to hear "The Danger Must Be Growing" -- I can't find it anywhere!
BCurrie@ultravox.eu You're all bonkers.
